To put them into ONTD terms, they were the band in 10 Things I Hate About You. Their singer Kay Hanley and guitarist Michael Eisenstein did the music for the Josie & the Pussycats soundtrack. Their drummer Stacy Jones is the lead singer of American Hi-Fi. Stacy and Kay reunited while working on the Hannah Montana tour, drumming and providing back-up vocals for Miley, respectively, and they were both seen in her 3-D concert movie.
Anyway, after the show they signed stuff and talked with the fans. Kay's about as tiny as I expected, though seeing her in person was still kind of surprising; I don't hang around tiny people much, I guess. Her husband Mike was much smaller than I expected; he's probably about my height, 5'7ish, and smaller than me. He and Kay are a compact couple. They were nice, but very sarcastic, as was Stacy. Dry senses of humor. They quipped about my camera not working (you'll see). The other guitarist Greg McKenna is hands down one of the nicest celebs I've ever met (not that he has much competition). I kind of got a creepy uncle vibe until I talked to him, but he was a total sweetie.
Here are some pictures:
So, after the show they were signing stuff. I wasn't going to get a picture, but I thought, What the hell? and did, but my phone's pretty cheap and they were in a very dark corner, so it didn't really work. We tried a couple of times and it didn't take, so then another girl tried with her camera and by that time I was pretty embarrassed so I just got out of there.
Here's the picture I ended up getting:
And they signed my copy of my favorite album by 'em:
And my tour poster, which I don't have a picture of. It was also signed by the opening band, Cruiserweight, who, bless their Texas little hearts are the only reason LTC came to my neck of the woods.
